WILLIE JOLLEY’S QUOTE OF THE DAY: THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES, BUT . . .

THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES, BUT . . .
The sun always shines, but some days the clouds cover up the sunshine! No matter how positive you are, it is important to associate with those who are positive and encourage you rather than those who are negative and discourage you. There are two types of people in life: those who add to you and those who subtract from you, those who deposit and those who withdraw. You must decide which ones you want around you.

It’s like a bank account: people will either deposit and add to your dreams or they will subtract and take from your dreams. If the negative naysayers continue to
take and withdraw from your dream, eventually your dreams will come up ‘‘insufficient funds.’’

The next step is bankruptcy, giving up on your dreams. Then you start to settle for what life throws at you instead of determining your own destiny. Folks, this is not
a dress rehearsal; this is it. Follow your dreams and hang with those who add to your account. Look for the good!

Do you know people who are always negative? Always looking for, and finding, the bad in life? People who are always whining and complaining about how bad things are. Nothing is ever right. Either it’s too hot or too cold; too sweet or too sour; too hard or too soft. Too this or too that. Nothing is ever right! We must help those people to look for and find the good in life. Even a broken clock is right twice a day!

If we really care for those negative people then we must help them to realize that behind every cloud is a silver lining, if you are just willing to look for it. Share with them that positive people not only enjoy life more, but statistics show that they live longer! Help your friends to see the positive or they will help you to see more of the negative. Continue to look for the good in life, and most times you will find it!

  1. Willie, my friend, brilliant thoughts. We must indeed associate with those who will add to our dreams; we must avoid those who wish to put them to death.

All the best to you this holiday weekend. I look forward to your tweets, and writings, and appreciate your friendship as always!
