Today’s ‘Live Better With Willie Jolley’ tip: Don’t Let Your Limitations Limit You!
We all have strengths and weaknesses. Far too often we let our limitations limit us, unnecessarily. Former basketball player, Spud Webb, was short in stature. He was only five feet six inches tall but wanted to play basketball. Everyone told him he was too short, but Spud refused to listen to them. He went on to play professionally and some years ago, won the dunk contest for the National Basketball Association.
Jose Feliciano was born blind during a time when blind people were told that they were not able to do anything but get a silver cup and beg for money. Jose refused to accept that idea. He found an old piece of a guitar and learned to play that guitar. He practiced day and night and night and day, sometimes until his fingers bled! Today, Jose Feliciano is one of the greatest musicians of our time. He wrote the infamous song we sing during Christmastime- ”Feliz Navidad”.
Dexter Yager, the former truck driver who built a multimillion-dollar business, wrote, ”if the dream is big enough, the facts don’t matter!” How are you allowing yourself to buy into your limitations rather than stretching the limits of your possibilities?
